Blasted exam writing time eats into my leisure time this time of term or year :( .

Below is the task list, that's the easy part though. Marking is the hard work, I have to mark, correct and grade altogether some 124 papers. Total to around a marking load of around 4.850 separate questions to be marked and graded a bloody lot of work  .

However I love my work and get satisfaction when I see my weaker students improving and my Y.12 class students being accepted into university courses :D .

After the student papers are finished I have to enter the data into our schools academic record base to be forwarded to the Ministry of Education  .

Year Six, English. Year 7, (social studies)Geography and Health. Year 8 English Literature. Y. 12 Economics  .

I've just moved back to Stewartby after a year living in Ghetto Bedford.

Lord Stewart of Stewartby has a nice ring to it don't you think?

Anyday now the book to commemorate the Iron Bridge is due out.

Was quite shocked to see they have demolished a house in Wolverton road by Foxgate to make a whole new street.

I see the Red House has had a lick of paint on the outside & still the traffic lights outside it don't work, have they ever?
Please Don't Mention The Concrete Cows!!!!!!!

A lot of the properties on the Wolverton road in Newport Pagnell had large back gardens as I recall from visiting friend there more years ago than I care to think about..

Where is the new road is it twixt the Nobby line and the rear of the properties, Where is the entrance to the area and if there is an exit where is that ?

I would love to see what has happened to the area.alas I feel it 'tis not going in my view to be a change for the better.

theres lots of changes happening around the place there flats next to the iron bridge, a walkway from the iron bridge into the field where the carnival is held. The new houses on the wolverton road and further down that road theres a whole new estate being built between the M1 bridge and the lakes opposite the black horse pub and there another estate being built opposite the cemetary on the wolverton road

Interesting , as I recall even twenty years ago there were rumours concerning the site by the iron bridge and building upon the ground.

I would hazard a guess and presume the old Rocla Pipes site is now a housing development ?

The estate opposite the Wolveton Road cemetery is a shame, that was a delightful view across the fields, seems as if there is just a ribbon of houses stretching from the Bridge House in Newport Pagnell to goodness knows where in Stony Stratford these days going by what you have told us..

What about the old ''Wolverton Works'' site, is it up for development either commercially or for housing purposes ?

Thanks Richard,

Shows how I keep up with the times, I went round the works a time or two and it was fascinating place craftsmen by the hundred and indeed a fine example of the lost Industrial Britain.

The most fascinating place was the , "Royal Shed'' where the royal train was housed, I crewed the train a time or too as well, the train itself was wonderful alas now I fear all gone.

We leave it in your hands and look what you have done at Wolverton. Dont they want any history left. Tell them to pull down Westminster Abbey and buckingham Place for building sites also. Dont let them touch the bridges. If they look like they are we will be over and they will have a fight on their hands.
